Emma Gibout, began violin at the Pau Conservatory with Claire Zarembovitch, where she obtains her diploma of musical studies in 2015 with the congratulations of the jury. She studied during one year in Christophe Poiget’s class at the Conservatoire Regional de Boulogne before joining the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon in Marianne Piketty’s class, where she gets her bachelor with honors. She is now studying at the Hanns Eisler in Ulf Wallin’s class in Berlin.
In 2014 she joined the French youth Orchestra, and discovered a passion for orchestra. Since then she plays in many orchestras like the Budapest Festival orchestra, Suisse Romande Orchestra or the Verbier Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Antonio Pappano, Esa-pekka Salonen, Ivan Fischer, David Zinmann etc..
She was Konzertmeister for some concerts during the Verbier Festival Orchestra in 2018 and 2019 under the direction of Simon Rattle, Gabor Takacs Nagy, Valery Gergiev, Manfred Honeck, and Hannu Lintu.
She also plays a lot of chamber music with great musicians like Marianne Piketty, Françoise Gneri, Gilles Apap…
In 2018, she won the first prize in the Arthur Grumiaux international competition in Belgium.
