Matteo Armando Sampaolo (1989) studied flute at “Conservatorio Rossini di Pesaro” where he graduated with honors, lately he obtained a master degree at The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague (NL). In the same time he followed classes by Giampaolo Pretto and masterclass by Emily Beynon, Andrea Oliva and Sir James Galway.
As an orchestral musician he has been trained as principal flute within the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana and the European Union Youth Orchestra. Those experiences gave him the opportunity to play in some of the most important concert hall and festivals around the world such as BBC Proms, Salzburger Festspiel, Grafenegg Festival, Abu Dhabi Festival, Ravenna Festival, Robecco Summer Nights at the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam under the guidance of Vladimir Ashkenazy, Andrey Boreyko, Riccardo Muti, Vasily Petrenko and Donato Renzetti.
Matteo is prize winner of several national and international flute competition; as a freelance musician he regularly performs with Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino and Arene di Verona Orchesta. Furthermore he is also a passionate chamber musician and teacher, Matteo taught masterclasses in Brazil and China and has been the tutor of the woodwinds at the European Music
